About
Queer, Vegan, Bi-Racial, Baltimore-based clinical social worker and mental health advocate. I began running regularly at the age of 24 while training for my first half-marathon, which helped me quit smoking and subsequently reclaim my mental and physical well-being. After losing my brother in 2001, I was diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder and post-traumatic stress, and running became a life line for me in many ways. Running (especially with my beloved dog, Sandy) helps me heal, and allows me to take charge of my holistic well-being while encouraging others to do the same!
